Caitlin Cowdrey

Caitlin is a Senior at Sparta High School. She has been cheering throughout her high school career on Sparta's squad cheerleading team as well as an all star cheerleader at Cheer Co. Caitlin is a member of our elite senior cheerleading teams competing at some of the most prestigious events throughout the nation. 

Kendra Hawley


Kendra is a Senior at Sparta High School class of 2016. She has been an all star cheerleader since Cheer Co. opened in June 2014. Kendra has won several first place titles as well as a cheer power national championship title. She has received several full paid bids to the US Finals. She competed in May 2015 in Virginia beach where her team took home a 2nd place title. She is hoping to cheer in college next year on a cheerleading scholarship. 

BreLeigh Adams


BreLeigh is currently on her second year as a Davenport University Cheerleader and the NCA All American Team, this is her 16th season as a competitive cheerleader.  During her long cheerleading career she has won 9 California State Championships and placed in the top ten at UCA National 12 times.  She was honored to compete at Worlds twice, receiving a partial paid bid and a full paid bid.  She was recruited in her Junior year of high school and signed with Davenport University receiving a college scholarship.  BreLeigh has been a part of  6 All Star Cheer Teams, competing in levels 2,3, 4 and 5.  She has worked with younger cheerleaders at HSC All Stars and Pacific Coast Magic, helping with choreography and stunting.  BreLiegh helped her High School Cheer team run and work a summer cheerleading camp for three years. She has competed on High School, All Star, and Collegiate for both UCA and NCA.  She traveled around the United States last summer coaching for NCA Speed Staff, where she was nominated for Top Rookie. BreLeigh was  born and raised in California and is in Michigan  to get a degree in laboratory sciences.

Will Derusha


Will gained his experience from many years of competitive dance, gymnastics and cheerleading. He attended Grand Valley State University where he was a member of the GVSU co-ed cheerleading team. Will is currently a choreographer for cheerleading and dance teams as well.

Tracy Lively

Half year team head Coach

Tracy was a Capital Cheer cheerleader from 2012-2014 . While cheering for CCM under the coaching of Laura Chapman she has received three full paid bids throughout her Capital Cheer experience to the US Finals. Along with her paid bids came six Grand Champion Titles at various competitions. Tracy competed and won two National Championship titles at the US Finals in Indiana and Virginia Beach in the 2013-2014 cheer season. Other highlights of Tracy's cheerleading career was winning Jamfest Super Nationals in 2014, and receiving a cheerleading scholarship to Davenport University her senior year of high school. 

Joshua Chapman

Co-Owner/ Gym manager

Joshua Chapman is the logistics of Cheer Co. He is a graduate of Siena Heights University for his BA in multidisciplinary studies. He plans on continuing his education towards his masters degree in Organizational Leadership. Josh is a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, he was an active duty Marine for eight years and is currently in the reserves. His all star cheerleading experience began in 2007 when he met Laura at the cheer for charity toys for tots exhibition event, he then started his work with CCM ever since. Joshua enjoys using his military background to help lead the CCM program. Josh propose to Laura at a cheerleading competition awards ceremony with the help of the athletes in 2014 and they got married on June 20th 2015. 

Laura Chapman


‚ÄčLaura graduated from Siena Heights University in 2012 with a BA in Integrated studies emphasis in Science and Education. She began her coaching career at Elite Cheer Michigan in 2005 where she lead teams to national cheerleading titles. Laura was an all-star cheerleader at Elite Cheer Michigan for six years, she danced at Deborah's Stage Door Dance Center for seven years and was a gymnast at Gymnastics Training Center for four years. Laura began coaching for Capital Cheer in 2008 and has head coached every team leading them to multiple national titles and first place wins. Laura is United States All- Star Federation certified in levels 1-6, AACCA certified, First Aid/ CPR, NCSSE certified and State of Michigan Concussion certified. All choreography is done by Laura, she also judges around the country with Varsity brand competitions. Any questions please contact her at
